About Wild Shore
What do you geek out about? For me, it’s facilitation, meeting design, and personal growth.
My name is Lindsey Taylor. I’m a Minnesota-born dreamer passionate about protecting natural spaces and supporting people in reaching their fullest potential. My curiosity and adventure-driven spirit have spurred me to live and work in Tennessee, Colorado, New Zealand, and Alaska.
I dream of making the world a better place, one small step at a time, and that’s how Wild Shore was born. Inspired by the very shorelines I work to protect in northern Minnesota, Wild Shore Consulting empowers mission-driven individuals, organizations, and partnerships to collaborate effectively, grow intentionally, and amplify impact for a more just and sustainable world.
Experience
My top strength is my love for learning, and this value has guided me for my entire life. I am an experienced leader, facilitator, and writer skilled in science communication, project management, and program development. I build strong, lasting relationships with partners and community members, and strategic thinking and positivity give me the strength to solve any problem that comes my way.
My career in conservation began in Denali National Park, Alaska, where I worked for four summers: first as a Science Communication Intern with the National Park Service and then as a Field Educator with the Denali Education Center. After recognizing I wanted to play a more direct role in supporting the protection of our natural world, I moved to Wisconsin and completed my M.S. in Environmental Conservation.
As part of my work as a conservation professional, I have coordinated and facilitated grantmaking decision committees, a community of practice for DEIJ in Wisconsin conservation, a 10-student internship program with professional development, conservation planning teams, and student and staff professional development. I also moonlight as an Alaska Naturalist aboard the Disney Cruise Line, sharing stories of Southeast Alaska’s ecology, wildlife, glaciers, and history with hundreds of passengers in the Walt Disney Theater.

In addition to practical experience, I have been fortunate to attend trainings on facilitation and group development that have shaped my career:

Behind the Name
I have always been drawn to shorelines. There’s something magical about the space between land and water, where plants, animals, and people manage to make a living at the constantly-evolving edge. There is change and there is balance all at once.
The shore is where you find adaptability, growth, loss, and discovery. Just like individuals, teams, or organizations with a vision, the shore is resilient and bold. It’s also imperfect, natural, and messy. There’s no one way to achieve growth and transformation, as long as you are full of life while you do it.
It can be challenging to know where to begin, which path to take, which direction to go. That’s where Wild Shore Consulting comes in.
